Before conrail split. Did conrail have a westshore dispacher. They did have an NFdispacher & train dispacher.

I believe that CSX is using essentially the same dispatch structure on its former CR lines as CR used. Most of the northeast is run out of Selkirk (Albany).
Don’t know how CSX is handling it now but during at least part of the Conrail era the West Shore dispatcher was actually based in Philadelphia.
Yes you are correct on one of my visits to Philadelphia the Conrail people took me to the dispatch room there & told me all CR trains are dispatched from there. There was a trainmaster located in North Bergen who I used to coordinate the movements of my companys traffic with to our own ramp. Maybe that is whom you mean. [:)]
so csx took out the west shore line dispatcher then or it is still there?
No, NF still handles this territory. They may have altered the boundaries, but I would have heard if a major desk like NF had been re-assigned. Moves like that are the talk of the railroad for months, new voices are heard, and old acquaintences are renewed.
I know csx does. Does NS use west shore dispacher & does any other railroads use the west shore dispacher?
I live near this line…TheCSX River Subdivision ( old River Line or West Shore) DS is called"NJ Dispatcher" nowadays…don’t know where the desk is located though…

At least they aren’t dispatched from Jacksonville. We locals are under the impression that the line recently had its dispatch location moved. I know that they were dispatched somewhere away from the actual line, not sure if it was Philly. Back in the 90s, the Lehigh Line was controlled into Newark by NK tower, which I believe is gone now, at least shut down. It gets confusing because once trains are off the River Line they are controlled on the shared assets district by a whole different dispatcher, North Jersey I believe.
That would really suck if the west shore line was dispached by Jacksonville dispacher and that is a long way to the west shore line to dispach from.
