Converting P2K BL-2's to DCC

I am the proud owner of 7 P2K BL-2’s (yes… I have had new gears and trucks added along with Kadee couplers and they run perfectly).

I am seriously considering switching them to DCC as I am rebuilding my layout and think that I should join the 21st century.Since I will not be doing the actual conversion my question is: Can it be done and what system do you recommend? And yes, I would like to have sound onboard as well.

All suggestions appreciated.

I converted two P2K BL2 original run locomotives to DCC several years ago. It required soldering because they are not DCC ready. It has been so long ago that I don’t know if sound could be added, but probably not without milling out some of the weight to make room for a speaker.
