Cool train computer games w/o CSX

I was recently playng Trainz driver North America and noticed-- there is no CSX on it[sigh].

  1. what do you think of this game

  2. why is CSX missing out on the fun and profits?

  3. know of any good train computer games (dont say Microsoft TS)

If you don’t mind waiting for as much as two years…give or take a year…both Kuju and another group are bringing out simulators. Son of MSTS is in the first stages of engineering, but the team’s reports of progress suggest it will very much be worth the wait and the hype. I don’t know much about the Kuju version (they market the current MSTS), but we can always hope that it will give whatever the second group is doing a run for their money.

Aren’t there user groups that have home made library files you can add to the game giving you more road names and stock?

There is a new simulator available (only in Europe at the moment) called Rail Simulator, http://www.railsimulator.com/

Its developed by Kuju and published by Electronic Arts.

You should get TRS2006, it has plenty of CSX content on DLS and there are some payware modles too.
