Correct Coupler for Old Roundhouse Well car (Husky Stack)

Need some help from the N-scalers.

Trying to add knuckles to some older well cars and having trouble with a pair of Roundhouse well cars. Micro Trains recommends the 1128, 1129, 1130 in general but that will not work as the coupler is a special low mount. I do not wish, and don’t think it is possible, to cut away enough of the body to just use replacement trucks. A dummy coupler would do but I can’t find one for a low mounted coupler box.

What have you done that works?

Seeing that, I will give it a try. Just from looking, there did not seem to be enough room for the trucks.
