Couplers for the Proto 2000 Sw1200

How do the couplers for the Proto 2000 SW1200 that come with the engine go on?

I believe you put the couplers in the coupler pockets, pop on the top of the pocket and then the coupler pocket slides into the hole in the body that is already fitted to the frame. Grab the screw that comes with it and tighten it down. The lip faces up. It’s been years since I did one of those.

While you’re at it I’d switch them with a set of Kadee’s if they’re not already.

They’re the Life-Like/Walthers version of the Kaydee. I’m just trying to figure out if they go large pocket clip, brass spring clip, coupler, flat plastic plate, then screw it all together. I just wanted to make sure that the little notch on one end of the large pocket clip goes to the outside of the model.

I am looking at my Proto 2000 S3 which I believe is the same set-up coupler wise as the SW1200. I think you have the order of assembly correct. The notch goes to the outside.

Thanks Dave, That’s what I was hoping. They are just tricky to assemble.
