If I wanted to switch all my trains to have the same couplers what coupler should I buy. Or is there one couple like Kadee #5 or something that will be good on all my locos and rolling stock. I dont have any passenger cars so there out of the picture. Thank You

Absolutely (spell check) Kadee. The #5 will fit probably 90% of you rolling stock.
Make sure you get at Kadee #205 hieght guage

Stick with number 5’s. Use washers between the chassis and draftbox if they are too high. Depending on what car it is, a small flat washer and a small teethed washer should do it. If you buy too short of screws, use O-27 track screws.
