CPR 2816 passes through Winnipeg,Manitoba with some vintage MILW cars! I took some video and photos of the CPR 2816 coming from the U.S after the excurion with the MILW steam engine, and saw some cars i never seen before. Check this link to view the video.
Nice one [tup]! It’s always nice to see some Milwaukee Road equipment…
Thanks man, yeah for a Canadian to even see American coaches from the 1950’s in an era i never grew up with, but saw in old Trains magazines from the 50’s. It was awe-inspiring, but i still love em Tuscan red CPR coaches the most, and the CNR G&G ones 2nd, with 80’s Blue VIA coaches in 3rd
I’m a sucker for the old CN and CP’s paint jobs. They were beautiful to say the least…[tup]
Do you like my signature train, with the old green and gold GMD-1 and 40’ 8 hatch reefers and combine
Looks great [tup]!
Nice !! I rode in the third car from the back, “Wisconsin Valley” cafe/lounge car, on the steam doubleheader Sept 15th. Great thing about the doubleheader was they didn’t have one of those pesky diesels in the way!!
BTW only the last two cars are former MILW cars, most of the cars the Friends of 261 operate originally came from other railroads.
