Crane pictures /wreck /heavy industry /derricks ECT

Hello all,

While I can’t post any ,right now ,due to the fact my wifes on the other puter. Do you have a great looking crane, that you just have to brag about? Post a couple of pics ,if you don’t mind.

I’m still working on a E-crane mock-up ,before I spend money on scratch building supplies.

Do you prefer heavy lift cranes for the MOW train or a somewhat lighter 25 ton crane ? Perhaps a “little giant” high rail truck crane ? Whats your creme of the crop for heavy lifting on your pike ?

I only got a cherry picker(don’t know if that’s what you guys over there call them, a box on a boom were a guy stands in to do maintenance on signals ect.), and it’s mounted on a flat car, still good.

Here is one for you… A real one…

This was the GCT derrick.

It was owned HALF by the NEW HAVEN and HALF by the NYCentral.

Don’t ask which half…[:D]

This is a Bachman that appears to be identical to those marketed by other companies over the years, including Tyco and IHC if I recall, and it was ready to run so I an’t claim any credit for it, but I like the way it looks.

Lots of steel, lots of rivets, lots of weight and mass, just what I like to see in a heavy lifter.
