We’ve heard about the mysterious crop rings in Britain and elsewhere.

I was following the MA&N line from Utica north using Acme Mapper when I made a startling discovery just north of Remsen, NY.

I have no idea what year the image was taken, although fall or early spring seems to be the season.

You can just pick out the old turntable, too, in the lower left center of the image.

You’ll have to click on the picture to expand it so you can see what I’m talking about.

It appears this was done using a disc set on a plowed or recently harvested field.

I was too busy looking at the crop circle remnants in the center of the image.[:-,]

If you look on Flash Earth, you will see a different set of crop circles. The farmer must do a different design each year.

Sure enough, the yahoo.maps option shows a clown.

Pretty neat, doing a freehand drawing with a tractor…

I wasn’t sure I saw the turntable, maybe the aliens got to it.

Larry Munson, the legendary voice of Georgia Bulldogs football, suddenly retired earlier this week. He has had serious health issues of late and many suspect that he is in his final days. A corn maze south of Atlanta was created in his honor:

I found the old roundhouse hole, but I went to google, find: N43.33263 and W75.18392 and focus in on the tracks and there it is ! it is that small circle bottom left.

The station is just south of the former turntable, and “Snow Junction,” where the Adirondack Scenic splits off from the MA&N track is just a short distance north.
