Have been struggling w/ Atlas 45 degree crossover. Engine gets hung up entering and exiting the crossover. Have done some widening of the rfailguards–and relevelling the crossover… The very front wheels sort of jump up as iof they were headed over a bump. Any help would be welcomed.
Get a magnifying glass, a strong light and take a good look at the insides of the plastic parts of the guardrails and all of the plastic rails. I’ll bet you’ll find mold flash stuck down in there. I was helping Tom_BryantMR on his layout last week and we noticed the same thing. While creeping a locomotive across his 90 degree Atlas crossing, one of the wheels would lift up as if it were going over a rock. We found some flash in the flange gap. Once we trimmed it, the problem was cured.

Are you using Kadee couplers? Maybe the trip pin is catching on the crossover. Other than that, check your wheel gauge.
[#ditto] Jeffrey brought up a valid point that I overlooked…I assumed you had already checked your couplers to make sure they weren’t hanging too low…but you know what happens when you assume…[:-^]
