100 series-Iron Ore
200 series-Chemical
300 series-Coke
400 series-Metals
500 series-Paper
600 series-Forest and Consumer Goods
800 series-Phosphate
900 series-Aggregates

and dont forget K652 and K651 are the juice trains

K650 through k654 are used for the various lives of the Juice Train
Even numbers are the Northbound loads and the Odd numbers are the Southbound empties.

I guess that list is a general idea of what train carries a certain product, but here’s a few from my railfanning area to throw it off!
K223-coke
K869 & K841-molten sulfur
K832-potash
of course, we then have K921-926 which are all sand/rock trains…go figure!
Which series are the unit acid trains and what kind of acid are they? (sulfuric, hydrochloric)
K236-Chicago Il to Fort Drum NY; what does that carry?

That would have to be coal. No other commodities are used at the fort in trainload quantities.

Yes but it doesn’t say coal. In fact the only coal trains that I know of would be T, U, N and a few W trains along with the E trains which I think are empties.
What is a coal or coke train doing in the 200 series. Is Fort Drum a place of tar or coal or coke using chemicals?
