What’s needed is an Intermodal Link between Chicago and Green Bay WI, would be a no brainer if you tabulated all the repeat runs you see on I-43 and U.S. 41 of Schneider Trucks.
The railroads will continue to benefit from the truck driver shortage. The average age of truck drivers is over 52. I see alot of truck drivers at my paper mill that I work at, and very few are in the twenty age catagory.Even with the good wages the are being offered in the newspapers, it is not attracting the younger generation to enter the truck driver industry…
Unless you know someone in trucking, it costs big to get into it. NJ
