CSX SD80MAC 4598 Freshly Painted!

Recently, a photo has been posted on RailPictures.NET of CSX SD80MAC number 4598, fresh from the paint booth, wearing CSX’s newest ‘Boxcar Bracket’ scheme. She looks REALLY sharp, even with the conspicuous lack of her AC Traction lightning bolts on the cab sides. I have heard rumors that Norfolk Southern plans to acquire all of CSX’s SD80MACs, but this new paint job would seem to contradict these rumors.

No it doesn’t, this unit was likely going thru the paintshed as the deal was made. Just unlucky for CSX they spent the time and money to repaint it only to then sell it on…
