CTT Article?

How does one go about submitting an article for review by CTT staff.

I have one on scratch building a bridge. I ran it by OGR last year with no such luck.

I would like to know the best way to go about it and the minimum requirements.
I would also need someone to put the details in the proper text so that it can be easily read, understood, & enjoyed.

Thanks

Pat Zak

Hi Pat,

Here is a link for the submission requiremnts:

Pat, just two quick thoughts here.

First the magazines tend to have a long lead time between an author’s submition and publication, but this should in no way discourage you from trying, just be patient.

The second thought is, that if it is for a bridge, it could be helpful to modelers in any scale, and may be better submitted to MR whose audience is much larger.[;)]

Good luck.

eZak,

Give the topic a nice plug, such as:

Ease in construction

Realistic results

Simple materials at low cost

etc.

Anything you can think of that will make it sell to CTT, sort of like an ad.

One of the keys to selling articles is persistence. Do not be discouraged if the first ten attempts fail. The editors are all really nice people, and they will work with you if you have an idea that they like. Have non-train people read the article to see if it holds their attention. I usually have my wife read mine, and if her eyes glaze over in the first two paragraphs, it needs some work. Good luck and I hope to see you in print.

Keep on training,

Think we all would be interested in see it here. OOPS, that might hurt you getting published.[:D]

Well the ball is rolling!

We’ll see what happens.

Now all I have to do is find a retired Marine/Editor who enjoys writing as a hobby to proof read, puch up, and give pointers to my article. [;)]

Just kidding! [:D][:P]

Now If I can I’ll try to post a sample pic.

Pat, I looked at the URL and you seem to be very close to getting your photo to show. Can you that down to a file with a jpg extension, you have the img command part right.

Well I just found out that the preverbelle ball rolled into the gutter, and down the sewer for that matter.

It is a no go for CTT.

If there is any interest I’ll post it in a new topic.

Yeah Elliot, that’s my problem. I can’t seem to get it to a jpeg. When I right click there is no ‘properties’ link. I can click on ‘Open link in new window’ but that just gets me an error message, something about java script.

I hope that is not an omen that I will spill the coffee on the news paper.[:D]

Well with help from spanky I think I found away to post a pic…

Yes …There it is [:)]

GREAT JOB[tup][wow]

Pat,

Glad we could help [:D]
