I have had several requests from forum members to make custom decals for them. I am willing to do so. My color laser toner is very expensive, close to $400.00 to refill everything. $20.00 a page for an 8 by 10 is a fair price considering my cost.
- The paper background is white so if you want white lettering you must reverse the print on a black background.
- Matching a background on something other than black is very difficult, for example putting lettering on a pullman green car, it is impossible to match exactly and wastes a lot of toner and paper.
- Gold & Silver metallic shine cannot be reproduced on a color laser printer.
- Please fill up your page with more than one decal-you will make mistakes.
- For lettering spend time with Microsoft office and match your fonts…I can print from Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Excel, PDF or JPEG documents.
- Print your sheet at home first, cut it out and see if it looks right on your engine.
I am not doing this to get rich in the model train business. I find the custom modeling part of the hobby the most rewarding. I am doing this as a service for my fellow forum members.
