ANY BODY RUNNING AN N SCALE KATO C 44 DASH 9 WITH AN ATLAS N SCALE 40 CW DASH 8 IN A DC CONSIST? DO THEY RUN WELL TOGETHER?
Your caps lock is stuck on and you are yelling.

Difficult to tell. Even two locos of the same make and prototype have different speed characteristics, so consisting can be a problem.
Determine which of the two lokes runs the fastest at A PARTICULAR VOLTAGE; hook up the fastest unit to a train and add–or remove–cars until the unit pulling the train is now running slower than the other engine; hook’em up and away ya’ go, Joe!
Remember you hafta do this at A PARTICULAR VOLTAGE!!!
You can do this with more than two units if desired; I once loaded down four units of mixed manufacture lugging 76 cars on a (NTRAK) layout.
