Can anyone direct me to any articals in MR on the installation of DCC modules in imported brass steamers? Have 20yrs worth of them but no all time index of atricals.
There is an index on this site. I have not used it but several others have spoken about it.
Check with the major DCC agents. They are all very helpful. Also there are many DCC groups on yahoo with many experts including some fo the nmanufacturers.
The instructions that come with the Soundtraxx decoder give you a pretty good set of instructions for mounting a decoder and a speaker in a steam loco.
Be sure that you get the “first time” buy as it is two “books” about 12 or 18 pages each.

Yes, search the index above or just Google it.
With old brass steamers, you may have some major surgery ahead, possibly re-motoring. The motor can be hard to electrically isolate from the frame.
