Hello, I’m wondering how to wire DCC on an HO scale modular layout. Im not sure how exactly I would be able to connect the bus wires in between the modules in a way that I could take apart my layout. I don’t have much room so the modules would be assembled and disassembled quite frequently. Any advice?
We used Anderson Powerpole connectors. If you want, details of our 16" HO modules can be found here:

any 2 conductor connector, such as Molex, female on left side and male on right (or visa versa)
Any two-pole connector which can handle the full amperage of your booster (or planned future booster) and where the connector will always mate that same way so there are no DCC phase issues between modules will work. Just be sure the connector can handle the strain of repeated connect/disconnects but are not so tight you can’t easily get them disconnected.
I second the use of Anderson Powerpoles.

This is an interesting option, similar to something I did on a folding layout for both the DCC buss and a 12v dc accessory buss. I have the bolts spring loaded to make the contact when the layout is folded into place.
Search the web for any of the modular layout standards, nTrak, Free-Mo, to see their wiring standards and how they make the connections.
I would note that you can use more than one method of connection simultaneously and not risk shorting. For example you can wire the Bear’s arrangement on the module bolts but also provide the ‘standard’ Powerpole connectors on short pigtails for modules without the washer connections. Same for the ‘spring-loaded’ pins that ‘make’ when two modules are bolted together.
