Have an older Rivarossi N Scale Challenger. Front drivers’ pickup from right hand rail but
I cannot find source of 150 ohms resistance to chassis. DCC will not read address.

I"ll try to get the ball rolling here.
So you have a short? You can remove components one by one to try to find it. You might have to open the engine to see what is going on.

Being older, is it DCC equipped with a decoder in the tender?

Or is there even a decoder and the 150 ohms is the motor?
DCC won’t read address if there is no decoder present.

Tells you where the other pickups are. No mention of any DCC.
