Tom - Janesville! I know where that is. It’s over there a piece! Always said if I move again, it will be one small sack at the front door, then take it outside and set it on fire! Hate moving!
LC - Your simple diet would put the rest of us in a coma! You must have puppy energy and run it all off!
Marty! Aren’t you glad we don’t have 10 fingers on each hand? Or maybe…
CW - Beef stew with wonderful cornfed Nebraska Beef! Yummy! Biscuits were light and fluffy just as they should be! Don’t have to wa***hat plate - it’s clean [^]
Brother Carl - getting older is not for sissies! And besides, it will give us something to discuss at the “home”. I will save you a rocking chair! Bring pillows!
And in case you are wondering - BNSF is running well! Even in 8* weather! Ran all night long! It was wonderful!
Morning everyone! How is everyone today? Did everyone get their eyes
opened after stepping out into the COLD AIR this
morning?
Got a nice and hot breakfast for everyone this morning. We have
oatmeal and toast, turkey bacon, sausage patties, biscuits and gravy,
and fried potatoes for Matt. Take your pick from the menu, and I’ll take
your orders and serve it up. Oh yeah, also have cream of wheat and
grits, too.[V]
Having discussed washing (and drying) cats, and now cats washing themselves, I recall one of the great mysteries of our time - why does a cat that just had a bath have to spend the next several hours washing itself???
Can I request something good and warm that’ll stick to my ribs for dinner?
I need something that’ll keep me warm.
Must’ve been Mookie that sent that cold Nebraska weather over . Probably shipped it on the BNSF. [:p] At least the wind has died down.
Um, now that I think of it how about ribs for dinner? Beef or pork , that is, not mine.
Mike, I’ll have to see if we have any ribs left in the freezer from last week
when I fixed them for Carl. But we do have some beef stew left from
yesterday. Always good warmed up the next day.
Will have something real good for you all tomorrow for lunch and
supper. I’ll let you all guess now what I’m fixing for tomorrow!!
HINT: It’s NOT Christmas dinner yet.[}:)][C=:-)]
I have a idea for lunch and dinner SOMTHING WARM AND HOT IT’S GOING TO BE IN THE MID 20’S TONIGHT AND TOMMOW NIGHT BURRRRRRRRRRRRRR and the high is in the 50’s
I hope you’re hanging on to that rocking chair for a while. I had a paramedic say to me, “It’s a b**ch getting old, isn’t it?” once–that was nearly ten years ago. I have more confidence in the ol’ ticker now than I did then! Unless it’s bitterly cold, I’m going to be out on that bike tomorrow!
CW, the hot dog was great–tasted just like the ones we get at Portillo’s here!
Youre kidding right? It has been cold the past month, we finally got a break the past week and it still barley made it to 50. Its fixing ot get cold again though. We had a whole week here where the temperature didnt get above 15. But I could go for somthing warm to eat as well. Always glad to have a great meal here, sure beats those Ramen noodles and Toaster Waffles that us college students live off of. Oh By the way thanks to everyone who runs this place!! You do a great job!!!
^~^ - warming up! It was 15 yesterday morning, in the 20’s today - with a south wind! That part hurts!
Miniwyo - Driver likes to go to the Laramie area to flyfish. The group goes to Centennial, a true small town! I spent a few days there while they fished. I was so relaxed, they had to baggie me to get me in the car! Very nice!
Two new breakfast items - I won’t eat either, but…no accounting for taste. Elvis liked Peanut Butter and Banana Omelets (ugh) and Monte Cristo - you know deep-fried french toast and strawberry whatever. Even had an order for a chocolate chip waffle with chocolate ice cream and chocolate syrup. (Barf!) Didn’t stay to see if syrup went over the whole mess, either!
Should look into Belgian waffles - that was all the craze a few years ago. We could get a waffle iron that would imprint a steam engine into the waffle…OK - looks like time for a nap. Getting a little bizarre…
