Depot Diner & Coffee Shop

That would be the definition of “chef’s surprise.”[dinner]

You’ve got that right, Larry!!

Hello everybody. Moving in day. The movers just left. Time to unpack. Has anybody seen my razorcutter?

sniff…got an old dead sock over here, Tom!

Tom
this box is rattling and is marked “fragile”.
stay safe
Joe

Everything looks good so far. No damage. I just saw a Wisc&Southern mixed freight from my front door. The tracks are behind my neighbors house (across the street) and in the woods.

Fragile (Fra-geel-eh) Hmmm must be french

Mookie - Is the fishing pretty good down there?? Just wondering as i am tranferring to the University of Wyoming down there next August and would like to wet a hook somewhere new! Aslo, Is there any good train watching down there?? That was the last thing on my list too think of when I was down there this summer.

Fishing seemed to be better this year ( I wasn’t there!) than in the past, since they finally got some rain. They wouldn’t let me train watch, but I know the UP is around there somewhere. I couldn’t get my head out of the scenery long enough to really go hunt. Still want to get to North Platte - which should be fairly close to you. Hear there is great train watching there!

Did you win a major reward?

Sounds good,I’ll try some[dinner].
Elvis’s PB and banana omelette sounds interesting.I’m usually not one to try new food, but this sounds like it might be good[8D].

You are a brave soul. I want PB on my toast and banana on my cereal. Not all mished together and fried!

I don’t like to talk about moving anymore…I’ve moved 10 times in the past 16 years…each time it gets progressively worse…

Hey Dan, welcome to the Depot Diner. You say you’ve moved 10 times in the
last 16 years?! You been in the military, or are you a PK like locomutt?

Have a nice big plate of meat loaf, shellie beans and corn on the cob ready
for you. Have a seat and eat up!!

Back from the 25-mile bike trip (cut in two by a safety meeting). It was about 20 degrees when I started out this morning, but the second half was a bit nicer, albeit against the wind.

CW, we have a nice soup recipe that calls for a pound of browned meat, carrots and celery and onions, a portion of a mixture of dry stuff (alphabet macaroni, rice, peas, lentils, and barley), and a bottle of V8. Tonight, I’d like it to be spiced up with taco seasoning! The diner will look a lot like my daughter’s house!

(Rocking chair, indeed!)

miniwyo,

The UP runs right through Laramie. Hard to not see trains there. I visited the U of Wyoming a couple of years ago and saw quite a number of trains on my time off. Sherman Hill is just a few miles to the east, and the yard at Cheyenne is fun to visit.

Carl, email me the recipe, and I’ll learn to make it. Sounds good (especially
with the taco seasoning added).

I suppose “chef’s surprise” is okay,but just don’t “surprise the chef”[B)]

Recipe sent. Anyone else?

Krispy Kreme’s for breakfast today!!

LC

I was thinking more like some of Bro Carl’s V-8…with a little tobascco, some garlic, a dash of worsteshire and lemon juice, some crushed black pepper and a couple of cocktail onions and garlic stuffed olives…

…oh and some Absolut…
