I have seen multiple post related to the problems with Cats and the layout but have you ever had this problem ? At night before turning out the lights I like to read either my MR Magazine or my NMRA magazine. Almost every night our cat , Tesse aka "my girl friend " as my wife refers to her , comes in and just walks all over my magazine , shaking her furr in my face until I have given her the attention she thinks/knows she desrves. Bad Kitty !
That is the great thing about cats… in your face when you want to do something and they dont want to look your way when you want a lap kitty.
We were put on the Earth for “their” pleasure, not the other way around…

Apparently you’ve never met my dog. She has no interest in Model Railroading or the magazine thankfully. Usually leaves me alone in the trainroom unless it’s potty time for which I have no problem taking a break. Beats the alternative.
Not trying to be picky here but actually it’s “dogs have masters, but cats have staff”…worst part is, they know it!!! Nothing cutter though than a kitten in my book. That is until they start growing up and “spray” that freshly painted engine or whatever or decide to have kittens in the box were you keep your old magazines. That usualy only happens once though and then it’s off to the vet for some “brain surgery”.
I still think that they can actually understand us but choose to ignore us anyhow as a lower life form, worst part is they may be right judging from what I see on the TV…

Be thankful it doesn’t shread the magazines. Used to have one that shreaded foam insullation. (Thankfully she got shipped off to the grandchildren)

Yea I am glad she doesnt shred the magazine, although she has loosened a couple of pages while purring and kneeding the magazine with her oversized paws. By the way. She adopted us not the other way around. Yep there is a lot to the statement “Cats having servants”
Well, you have the best one there then Richard, when “they” decide to adopt “you” you have a friend for life. Well, theirs anyhow. All of ours are strays that just wandered in and decided to stay, of course good, free food is a great enticer, Not to mention a warm place to sleep in cold weather. No taxes, no work, good food and a nice house. What’s not to love?

Our cat resents it if I"m reading and he wants my attention. If I"m reading something when he jumps onto my lap, he’ll push it out of the way to get my attention.
Oh and try using a laptop while sitting on the couch while perusing this website when a cat wants your attention!!!
When I started modeling back in the 70s I tried kitty litter scenery held down with diluted white glue. It worked out great until ours cats discovered it…
