I was wondering if anyone might have any ideas on how much Woodland Scenics, grass product and foliage one might need for a 4x8 layout with about 70% being landscaped. I mean how many of their foliage bags, I was thinking about 4 and about 3 canisters of 3 colors of grass product, with 1 bottle of the Woodland Scenic cement. You’d be far better off asking this question in the “Model Railroader” forum. Alas, we’re far more prone here to be experts on removing weeds from between our rails than creating them. However, if you would like a ready supply of weeds, please let me know where to send them. I’d bet you could cover more than a few sheets of plywood with what I pull from the garden every spring. [;)]

On this forum there are very few of us that have “active” N layouts. Like Kevin said, we spend more time that we like to admit pulling the weeds from between our rails. OTOH, there are a few (very few) of us (me and maybe one more) who are brining our Z scale out to the garden. Z Scale is the right size for a Garden Railroad in our Garden Railroads. If my memory serves me correctly, I think you do have enough supplies to do a decent job of it.
