Did you know Lex Luther had a huge layout?

I have been resisting to see the new Superman movie but finaly decide to get the DVD and to my surprise, Lex Luther had a huge layout looks like in HO in the basement of his mum’s house!!! Multi-layered with running water and moving airplanes and stuff! Wonder who built that because that must have cost enormous amount of money but again it’s movie money and it’s got to look like Disneyland!

But then he used it as a testing ground for his evil deeds and destroyed it all, what a pitty! A few nice ATSF Alco and F units hurdlling into the river and trainmaster got decapitated and stuff like that…LOL

Wish I have a basement to build a layout like that…

I hate to be the one to shed light on where Lex Luther got his money to build that great big Lionel layout, but he married a rich, sick old woman that was twice his age so he could inherit all of her money when she died - which he did. Somewhere along the way he built the layout.

Sorry, but other than the train scene, I hated that movie… It could have been so much better than it was.

Yeah, the layout was destroyed by the Kryptonian version of “Mountains In Minutes”

I agree, it was kinda disappointing. I liked “Batman Begins” way better, even if the only train there was a fantasy transit system.

Plus when you really think of the plot, “Superman Returns” is really “Forrest Gump” with a cape.

Oh man, you cracked me up! ‘Forrest Gump with a cape’! [bow]

I sort of knew the plot would be ordinary that’s why I sort of resisted but then with all the adverts and merchandise, I just want to see what’ it like…

To be honest, I thought it was ok because it’s the same with all the movies, it’s a ‘movie’ and it’s there to entertain you rather than tell the real story of Superman because there is no Superman! LOL I don’t know, I just laugh at it and killed 2 hours or so before I can call Tech Support at Precision Craft…but I thought the new Lois Lane was kind of sexy! LOL

What I didn’t understand was that were they trying to say that the kid of Superman’s?

I wonder who was the lucky get to build that layout…must have made it out ok!!! That’s how George Lucas’s Light & Sound studio started! May be there should be more movies about model trains and then may be we can all be rich one day! LOL
