I’ve been looking at getting myself a new airbrush (I realized I should have asked for one for Christmas, although it’s too late now…). So far the best I’ve seen for a Single Action, External mix airbrush is from Paasche. And so I’ve been looking at the Paasche H Set and F Set.
The problem is I can’t figure out why there is a $26.00 price difference between the two sets. In the list they provide as far as what the kits contain, there are only two items that are different: “Two Color Adjusting Parts” and “2 Aircaps.” What are these items? Are they necessary? If I can save $26 then I’d rather skip them, but if they are important to airbrushing then I guess I better have them.
If you can explain to me what those two terms are, I’d most appreciate it.
Also, while I have all you Paasche owners here, what do you think of the Paasche airbrushes? Are they a good quality, and are they worth the price? I’ve come to realize I need a better airbrush, and I was unimpressed with some of the Badger Airbrushes I saw, the single action external mix ones at least, so I think Paasche will be my choice. That is unless I find out there is something better out there or that the Paasche ones aren’t very good.
Thanks for your time,

I have several H model Paasche aribrushes but cannot speak to the F or the difference. The H is a good all around airbru***hat will paint extememly well and it can be taken apart for cleaning easily. Like any othe airbrush, it must be cleaned and the paint and thinner mix is very important. I normally use about 20lbs of air presure from an aircompressor with a regulator and trap to keep moisture out of the paint.
Noah,
In my honest opinion, there is not a better airbru***han the Paasche’s.
I know,I’ll hear some dissent from a few people about that one.
I have two model “H” brushes, one is over 40 years old,and still going quite strong.
I found a very good price on another one this year;and got as a “back-up”.
Seems the “back-up” gets used for acrylic paints, while the old one still gets used for the
laquer based paints.
As to the “color adjusting parts”,and “aircaps”;I’ve never really heard of that particular term, but would imagine that they are reffering to the needle and tip assy.
Whichever brand you do get,I hope you have a great time using and seeing the great results that you will achieve.
Guys,
Thanks for the information and reveiws. It’s good to here that Paasche is a good thing. Now to figure out which set to buy…
