I got a used Digitrax DT402D throttle last year, and was using it tethered while waiting for my UR92 to arrive, and it worked great! When I got the UR92, I connected it, and it worked fine… for 10 minutes. The flashlight, well, flashes, and I am unable to issue any commands.
I am aware that the flashlight, well, flashing, means that the throttle isn’treceivingg an acknowledgment message, and tried a variety of things: Battery replacement, UR92 hard and factory resets, and using JMRI to look at the LocoNet backend, but nothing worked. Even stranger, when I put the battery in before plugging it into my UR92, the flashlight flickers erratically, and the display shows the startup screen, and sometimes random characters. If I plug the throttle into a panel and then put the battery in, it doesn’t flicker.
I did have success hard-resetting the UR92, but it only delayed the inevitable.
I am currently using the (functional, but limited) IR functionality, but it’s not the same.
