I recently bought a K-line train from Hobby Lobby on sale and when I went to try and buy more track for it, I found out that they were bought out by Lionel. I cannot find the .027 snap track for it. Any suggestions. Even Ebay doesn’t have any right now.
[#welcome] to the forum !! You may want to look into changing track systems, but Lionel does have those switches listed in their new K-line by Lionel catalog & maybe the track will be coming again !
K-line snap track will work with Lionel style Tubular track. You can to get the adaptor peices ( if you cand find them) or cut the ears off of the K line track and buy a few x tra pins to go with the tubular track. Most of my lay out will be in K-line super snap and I will probably use the tubular pins at evry joint just for extra strentgh.
Great to see another Hobby Lobby / K Line customer on here. My layout lives and dies by the clearance isle and those 40% off internet coupons
I also really like the K-line super snap track. It is as easy to work with as tubular but as easy to assemble as fastrak. I often build my supply by purchasing “close out” sets on-line at JusTrains.
K-line snap track does work best with Lionel 031 which usually has black ties (not 027 which usually has brownish/redish ties). Another way to make converter pieces is to just cut a straight track in half. Use the finished ends for snaptrack and the cut ends to mate with 031 tubular.
