Can anyone suggest a good source for quality, wall mounted, display cases for HO scale engines and cars. Thanks in advance.
A friend of mine just got one from Trackside Trains. It is VERY nice and they built it to his dimensions. I’ve got a few from a company called GEMO but they are not wall mounted and they store my diecast car collection. When I finally get my train room finished a buddy of mine is going to build me one that will take up one wall. It’s going to be 24x4 with glass doors and lights inside. He is a cabinet maker by trade so it should look great.
Thanks, TA. I’ll check it out.
I highly recommend the display cases from Greenway Products:

I have a wall-mounted case from them, and a friend has several more. They are solidly built of quality wood (oak) with sliding glass (not plastic) doors. If you want a display case that’s going to outlast you, these are the ones you are looking for.

Thanks, Paul. That’s a good recommendation. I appreciate it.
Hi,
There are usually several ads for them in MR. I got mine - 2x4 felt back, glass doors about 28 years ago, and it still looks good. Also, the larger train shows often have some.

I’ve bought a couple from Kijiji. One rather large one, I pair $20 for, I wouldn’t be able to mount to a wall without major modifications to the wall. I instead, got rid of the origional legs & made a more stable base for it. The second one, I also paid $20 for can be made as a wall mount with the addition of some 1x4 internal support. Add some paint & voila, i have a wall mounted display cabinet for less than $40.
