Do decals exist for C&BL in N Scale

Getting ready to embark on my first MAJOR layout. N Scale. Modeling the PRR between Johnstown and Altoona. The Bethlehem Steel Mill in Johnstown was switched and serviced by the Connemaugh & Black Lick RR. Fortunately, I’ve been able to come across prepainted NW2 switchers, but they are unnumbered and unlettered. Does anyone know of a manufacturer that makes C&BL decals in N Scale, or a company that would be willing to custom-make them for me?

I just checked the Microscale site and undfortunatly they do not list the C&BL. You may have to make your own decals.

Curious – What NW2’s have you found?

I considered that, since I know blank decal paper is available, but how would I print them. I doubt seriously that an ink-jet, or maybe even a laser printer, would hold up to being submerged in water and the chemicals in MicroSol and Microset.

Bachmann. They’re not quite right (the yellow looks a little too orange and they have a full pilot, which C&BL switchers did not), but they’re close enough to pass, at least til I get things up and going.

This format won’t let me cut and paste a pic, but if you want to see them, I found them at Model Train Stuff, listed as Bachmann N 61655 EMD NW2 Switcher, Painted (Yellow/Black) Unlettered (DCC On Board)

Try this website. He’s a model railroad acquaintance of mine. He also has a Facebook page you can see sample of his work.

Thanks, Chris. I just reached out to him through his website (not only am I too old for N Scale, I’m too old for Facebook. Been avoiding it like the plague, haha). Looking forward to what he has to say. He has done some pretty awesome work (based on his website), so I really appreciate you connecting me with him!
