Then there are job related, job specific dreams. For example, a law enforcement officer is dreaming he is involved in a deadly force encounter, only to discover that his weapon doesn’t work. Or the dreams involving the medical profession. Doctors, nurses and EMT’s often dream they arrive at the scene of an emergency and are not able to perform or forget the medical proceedures they’ve learned. I can only imagine those of you in the Railroad profession as to what kind of dreams or nightmares you might have.
Yeah, there must be kazillion job-related dreams around the world for each rotation of the planet. I think that a lot of them involve the dreamer trying to accomplish his duties while being hampered by an outside force. Like maybe wearing underpants and socks but intermitingly trying to find shoes and all the while trying to keep the shebang moving forward.
Sisyphus?
Wow, I just googled Sisyphus and my spelling was correct after the 40 years since I last had to write the word.
RIXFLIX
Had one this morning. I had my two Case 448 garden tractors out at my storage. One was on the tracks, the other was near. I moved the one that was near away from the tracks first and the train came and hit the other one before I could get to it. Derailed the first engines leading trucks. My odd dreams usually morph as this one did. The real train and the track all changed to Lionel 3 rail. That was one huge outdoor layout, I’m telling YOU!!
Another dream I rented and drove a taxi car to deliver pizza and smashed it up. Thats what I get for waking up at 6am and eating two small snickers bars.
Sisyphup. Rolling bolders uphill only to have them roll back down again. Kinda like doubling a hill and watching the knuckles constantly break. That would be a nightmare. I guess thats job related.
Dreams no, occasional day dreams yes–especially when I haven’t been able to go train watching for awhile.
more like NIGHTMARES…[sigh]
