I notice on their website a complete lack of activity.
Many use HO Seeker.
Look at the site. It is NOT a forum. People with all kinds of MRR diagrams scan them and send them to Larry. I have as have many others. It is a very useful site. Only for reference.

Really? I just took a look and under the Whats New button there are updates from 2014 posted. Seems active to me.
Never knew about this site, thanks.
He needs to stress that people can send in scans (relevant, good-quality ones, of course) - on a different forum* that relies on Reader scan submission, this is mentioned often, usually with quite phrasing featuring stuff like Uncle Sam or Terminator images.
He could skip the images, but I did not see any mention of submitting diagram scans on the front page.
Not sure if I have anything he needs, though…

It is not what Larry needs, it is what you want to send him. I have sent him loco DCC documents as have a few others.
Actually this question should have been asked in that forum. Not here. Very few know that site exist. A few of us have mentioned it here for some needing a document.

For those few of us who still enjoy working on the vintage DC equipment; HO Seeker is a blessing.
All I wanted was to auction my Bachmann Shay. Nothing seems to be happening in any of the categories.
I refuse to use Ebay.

I just had a positive experience with HOSeeker.net. A friend of a friend brought me his old Lionel HO GP9 (really an Athearn GP7 shell on a different drive) to repair. I was able to use HOSeeket.net to not only get the diagrams, but was also able to date the engine for the owner.

I suggest that you look into HOInterchange or HOSwap. These are Yahoo groups. There is no fee to join either group. You deal directly with the potential future owner. These are not auction sites. You determine the price that you want to get and state that amount. If you find a buyer, you determine what the shipping would be.
So you would you post something like: For Sale. Bachmann Shay. Test run only. Pictures on request. (insert dollar amount here) I take USPS money order or checks. Sorry I don’t accept Paypal. Shipping extra via priority mail to your zip code.
Here are the links to those groups:

Then you do not understand the purpose of HOSeeker.
Then you are choosing to miss out on thousands of potential buyers for whatever reason.
HO Interchange is fine, but it is not an auction.
Looks like HO Seeker has an Auction site, or at least is affliated with one: HOSeekers Auction
Actually, has anyone bothered to link to the main page in this thread yet? If not: HOSeeker

I stand corrected. Seems like a fraction of the participants of eBay, but it is there.
I use it all the time, to figure out what vintage freight car I have from a to z. I also use Tony Cooks site also, both are a great resource
One of the most useful web site there is
HOSeeker remains a pretty useful resource, and the more people contribute scans (of instructions/plans not already on the site), the more useful it becomes. Indeed, I submitted instruction scans for a few different kits last fall (following the standards he request for scans); hopefully some people have since found them useful.
The layout of the site is still…a bit awkward I’m afraid.
ETA: It took me a few minutes to parse out my post from Jan 22, 2014 in this thread, but luckily the footnote I left for my future self helped. What I was getting at was HOSeeker should make it clearer that he accepts useful and relevant scans, like how the other site I mention has banner jpgs of Uncle Sam saying “I Want You to Send in Your Scans”, or Arr-Nuld saying “Don’t be a girly man, send in your scans” as “subtle” reminders.
I use HO seeker frequently since I have purchased most of my stuff used on ebay. I find it a valuable resource which is easy to use.
It is especially helpful in repairing and/or dating old locomotives, as I can match up the parts diagram with the model I have. Simply click on the icon for the appropriate manufacturer and select the mode (steam/diesel) and scroll through the specific models.
I use it on occasion. Would like to send him stuff but could not determine where to post to?

The e-mail address is right on the site’s front page:
If you are in possession of any HO or N Scale train brochures, catalogs, assembly instructions for engines, cars, and structures that are not listed on the site contact me about adding them to the HOseeker Website.
