Don't know if it's a good or bad omen

Well with some of the troubles I have had, I was still dying to try the DCC and to see if my wiring was correct or locate any problems. SO I bought some alligator clips today, and hooked the powercab up to check… well First ran my Proto RS27 with no problems on the inside loop which happens to be the longest loop cuz it runs under the layout too. Then I ran the RS27 along with BI AC6000CW at the same time on the same loop, no problems at all…

of course I know I as added more trains and things that PS4 when I get everything I need for it, will come in handy…

but right now, is it a good omen or bad omen that everything ran good… but remember it was jsut 2 engines…

wunnering if I am slowly turning the corner!!!

Anytime you learn something it’s good.

Anytime you see smoke coming from an engine…

alittle good & alittle bad…

alligator clips to track = good

took alligator clips to wires to track = not good…

learn as I go!!!

[#welcome] to the world of DCC – Great, ain’t it?

As you’ve no doubt read, it can get complicated. Wayyyy, complicated, in fact. But it doesn’t necessarily have to be, depending on what you’re trying to do and whether you take it one step at a time. And you seem to be on the right track (pun intended). Congrats!

Hopefully I have passed the stage of the panic stricken/crazy question stage!!! hahaha

2 trains running last night again…

IF you have all your bus wire in and feeder drops in and you clamped to the bus wire that is a GOOD THING. If you just clamped to the track with no bus wires and feeders that is a good AND bad thing. The good is that your track joints are solid. The BAD is that you have all the Bus and Feeders to solder. DCC is worth the time. I still have a lot of wires to add to the system BUT it is worth it.

I agree well worth it, enough wiring but not as much… if you know what I mean… I am happy at the moment…

straighten out the mistake by my train dealer, will come out good on that end… have trains running… so onward I go…
