Down sizing...... Sort of

I recently build a huge square train table with a hole in the center to walk around in only to find that it wouldn’t fit quite well without having to bend ore backwards to get around.

I want to take one corner of the layout and place it ontor of the other to male a double layer ‘L’ shaped layout. The bottom will be for a staging area and the top- the actual layout. Does anyone know how to do this?

Do you have a plan of the layout?

Are you talking about modifying the table without any track on it?

yes

I do have a turntable but it isn’t secured yet.

Depending on how the framework is made, it should just be a simple circular saw job.

I seem to be confused about what you are trying to do, but I understand that you want to cut some wood. I think a circular saw would be the best answer, but if it requires cutting some curves, I would use a saber-saw.

Good Luck With Your Layout!

That should be all I need. now that I think about it it doesn’t seem as complicated as I origionaly thought.

With a Helix at each end? Sounds like it might work ok. Helix’s take up about 5 square feet I think. 30" radius track
