Dream Layouts

What would your dream layout be if you had the space, time, and money to build it?[?]

I have two dream layouts actually that I would like to have. Either one of Milwaukee Road “Little Joe” locos in mountainous Pine Forests such as those found in Montana or Washington state or a layout featuring Esspee Cab Forward locos with 1940s style rolling stock in a setting like Donner Pass or Willamette Pass in Oregon where the Cab Forward’s were used.

My dream layout would have to be either HO or my first true love, O. I would love having some HO SP Cab forwards diong their thing in the mountains of the southwestern U.S. or O guage Big Boys and Challengers chuffing their way through the Rockies.

An expanded version of John Armstrong’s Canandaigua Southern, O-Scale, of course.

Definitely the full EJ&E in N, on a double deck layout… Maybe someday.

converting a large shopping mall into a huge HO scale CSX empire- Cleveland to Chicago/ Toledo to Cincinnati. Includes Deshler and Fostoria junctions.

My dream/ambition is to do my hometown railroad, the Claremont & Concord. Imagine my surprise to see in MR Tony K do it in Oscale. I still want to do it in HO and include the interchange with CV and B&M.

My dream lay out would be to model the old Southern Pacific line between Los Angeles and Bakersfield.

My dream layout would be Conrail From Enola yard in Harrisburg to Conway yard near Pittsburgh. [8D]

Already drawn out, my retirement layout. Needs a small warehouse though.

Los Angeles, 1938 from downtown to the harbor, west to Santa Barbara, east to San Bernardino, and south to Fullerton

Plan is in HO but I would prefer Large Scale, I would need a LARGE warehouse for that!

CP from Calgary to the coast, only somewhat compressed, with a ton of sound equipped SD40s, C424s, M630s GP9s, H16-44s, CPA15-4s, and F-units, with the OCCASIONAL AC4400 run through. 5 subdivisions, over 600 miles. Compressed to about 400!

Mine is the entire WSOR Reedsburg sub, modeling almost every mile(all 60 of them), from Madison to Reedsburg WI. I figure this will never happen, although I do plan modeling the Reedsburg Sub, just condensed down a little, taking out some space in between towns, ect.

I would take an aircraft hangar and have an O scale B&O layout set in March,1957,Baltimore to Akron. Then a separate layout of Willard yard, and another one following the Royal Blue Line.

My dream layout would be a layout other than what I’ve got now.

My layout doesn’t have any scenery(just trackage) and fits in one of my basement rooms.

Maybe I’ll build myself a layout when I’m retired…and since I’m only 16…It’ll seem FOREVER!!

Uhh, Sandpoint Idaho, with a complete Lake Pend Orrleile Bridge, a spur to Mullan Pass on the MRL, and another to Wyomeing for my UP interests, and another to West Glacier ont he BNSF

great question by the way, stop by the teen forum.!!!

16…Dont be in a hurry. Enjoy it while you can, Son.
You wont believe how fast it can go by…[;)]
