Driver who struck California Zephyr had history of tickets
My observation as an auto driver is that the majority, I repeat majority of truckers are careful and considerate. However a few are out there giving the industry a bad name. A couple of years ago, I listened to an experienced trucker talk about his test to work for a manufacturer of motorCycles. he had past, but he explained all the hoop[s he had to jump thru to get the job. I forget how mush a truck load of Motorcycles cost, but this very responsible company evidently cannot afford to lose a shipment of same. Here’s to the good truck drivers; and to the bad :straighten up, the next serious accident could be your last.
