Rule 1 make aisle wide enough for the size butt that will work there.
Rule 2 draw that butt to scale in CAD
Rule 3 That BUTT does not fit in an 18" wide Aisle
Result, REDESIGN for larger BUTT!
Newbies note allow room for a good AISLE before cutting wood! 24" min Aisle 30" is better.
DUMMY IN AIKEN!
Ah, the old my-butt-is-bigger-than-my aisle!, Consequential Error #17. Usually followed by the old what-the!?..my -shoulders-are-bigger-than-my-pop-up, Consequential Error #18. Closely related to Theorem #11- Size matters!
Actually, I think layouts are the victim of an unusual thing happening. The aisle is designed correctly, but somehow over the years it shrinks. This is more common than one may think. It seems to happen alot with clothes and belts.
And buying power…[V]

Nice signature photo … where’s that from?
Thanks for the compliment, Joe. The photo is a recent one I took at the scene. The bridge is called the Kinsol Trestle, a name derived from the abandoned King Solomon copper mine that ran between about 1898 and 1906. When the mine closed, the bridge was about 30% completed. After the War, the CPR bought the right-of-way and had to rebuild entirely. The trestle has not been used since about 1946. It is the tallest in N. America, I believe, @ 40m, and one of the longest.
The nearby town of Duncan has researched its refurbishment, and learned that it will cost nearly $4M to rebuild completely…all new. To recondition, with the view to making it one of the great historical showpieces in the Trans-Canada Trail, it would cost over $6M.
Her’es another image, taken down nearer water level.

That’s why I outline my aisle edges directly onto the floor, PRIOR to cutting a single board. I can do one better, I had a duckunder that grew because I misread a key demension, sucker was over three feet wide when all was said and done! Of course my ever consoling wife states its all proportional as my demensions have also increased over the years [:D]
Dave
Ah man, I saw the subject on this and I thought you guys had figured out that I was here! Man what a relief…No wait, now I have blown it!
Wait, I know…
Your computer has just been infected with the Amish Computer Virus! This virus operates on the honor system. Please begin deleting random files from your computer immediately! [8D]
Just kidding! [:D]
I started to build a pop up hole in my layout and then I wondered who I was kidding. At almost 62 years old nothing around here has popped up in quite a while, hole or no hole.
Aisles? I can still handle aisles… I think.

Shame on you Jarell! In those famous words, “What would your mother say?” [:I]
