Im a friends of the ebt member to preface but:
My goodness! The work that jas been accomplished between the foundation and the friends is truly amazing! 5 years after the purchase we have:
New facility at the picnic grove, an operational steam locomotive that hadnt run since 1956, new passenger coaches, the machine shops being restored, new tours, and… rail heading south that hadnt had a train on it since 1956, and the motor car since the 1960s! Great job all involved!

The saltillo station rebuilding started on Saturday!
Saltillo is the southern end of the current track laying project. The railroad had a water tank and a Wye there so it made sense to make it the goal.
Unfortunately the tank was burned in the 80s by arsonists, and the station was taken down in 2005. It had sat vacant without repairs for too many years and when they lost the roof- it was a matter of time.
BUT, the FEBT was able to have drawings made of nearly every inch of the building and saved a lot of architectural features. So its been a great year already, oh they also are at 300,000 dollars in donations, which surpased the 2025 fundraiser of 270,000.
Things are looking up for the “narrow gauge Phoenix”

Here are photos from the Peter Lerro (a fantastic watercolor artist) charter:
There are fourteen albums going back to 2001.
Most photos have descriptive captions so you know a bit of what is going on.
