Is there a review of this ebook on an independant website or by Model Railroader?
Would you consider it a worthwhile buy?
I have to admit that the webpage is rather long to wade through for a book that simplifies creating a model railroad. I had to scoll 24 times to read the entire page [:0]
TIA for your views,

nothing is easy, that’s why no one quits smoking on the “3 easy steps”. I say instead of getting a tip book that “might be” helpful, just ask the people on the forums or maybe find someone on the forums that are willing to give you their email address and “grandfather” you into the hobby. tip books are to full of crap you’ll never use or you already know. Or you could always just get a trackplan book and use their guide, just don’t use Kalmbach’s guide, it sucks it gives you very basic directions then references other books published by kalmbach that you should pickup before you start to build. I absolutely hate books that are “beginner’s guides” that turn out to be reference books for all the other books the company publishes. but if you have the 30$ or so bucks lying around and you really want a book go down the the book store and get “The Daily Show with Jon Sewart Presents: AMERICA(the book) A citizen’s guide to democracy Inaction” completely not train related but it’s good for a laugh when you get frustrated by the setup.
This is a most disappointing response to my first post to the forum. [:(]
The initial questions related to the content of the ebook, not what it is or how to obtain it by other means.
Responses to current replies [B)]I know what an ebook is and that if I wanted a hard copy I need to print it. Thank you cacole. Actually, I would read it on a computer and print out only the pages that I was immediately interested in.
Theodorebear, I have checked Amazon.com and they do not have the book, nor would I have expected them to have it. One aspect while I was looking at that site was that it insisted on being the top window while I was looking at another window. MOST annoying[:(!] I will probably use a less annoying site if I buy books online.
jadormdrache. I’m not sure what to make of your reply.
Except that you do not seem to appreciate Kalmbach Publishing’s efforts to offer helpful books. I have several books from Kalmbach which are very informative.
The Real QuestionIf you have got the ebook, would you as a Model Railroader reader recommend it?
I am interested in comments about the content of the book, thanks.
I am not familiar with this “book”, but I would be suspicous of a self published book that I can’t examine first. Especially, one as expensive as this one is. Also, I am not sure if you’re getting original material or recycled info from the internet. The author says he spent $1800 getting the information, but that could be the cost of his computer. I have been in this hobby for over 30 years and the author is not an expert I have heard of; nor does he make a claim that I saw to any expertise. Not to say it’s not legit, but…
If you do buy it, give us a review here.
Enjoy
Paul
