First I want to thank everyone who supplied assembly hints and suggestions.
During the assembly of the first kit, I found that if I tinned the braces and wall sections, I was able to solder the braces to the walls. However I could not solder the walls together. The joints would not hold.
I took someones advise and tried five minute metal epoxy which worked well at holding the joints.
For the sliding the door trim, the dooor tracks and small details, I again used someones suggestion to use thick gap CA, which did indeed worked well on these small parts.
The second kit was assembled using thick gap CA which worked real well. The CA took longer to cure than solder, however the walls did not distort and the use of clamps was not required to hold parts together. Still needed to use a fixture to “square up” the walls during assembly, but this is true for no matter what building material is used - plastic or wood.
I wanted to attach the photos of my buildings, however have some difficulty in uploading the photos. Please forgive me.
Again thank you to all for the hints and suggestions.
Have a Happy and safe model railroading New Year
