Translation is NOT a problem, but Petra may not know that.
My MIL is from Germany, and MOH was raised every other summer over there. When I am at My Inlaws, half the conversations are in Deutche, as my MIL fades in and out between English and German.
So, if she knows how to access the trains.com site, there would be hope. Ulrich has never been in the hospital this long before, as Ulrich says they don’t keep you in a day over absolute need to be in there. That is what makes me think there is mnore to this than we may know yet.
I don’t know him as well as you guys but I really hope he’s hanging in there. here’s a shot from the new godzilla movie coming out in '14, nice to see that GP20 still kicking.
Afternoon All…Its sunny and 41 here…I’ll have a RBF please…Thank You…We had a fire this morning at the Marathon tank farm…one worker hurt but fire is out…
You all know I am a big IC fan and love cabooses…Picked this one up…Guy on Ebay said it was a one of a kind rare production model of a comfort cab caboose…I am having trouble getting it to track and it has weird couplers…
So that’s what you have been talking about. Gotch, I may need to bash one for my work train. By the way, it nice to see that you finely chose a “Good Road Name” [bow]
Sure is dull around here without Jeff isn’t it. Dang it all, he’s such a source of inspiration for me and for others I suspect. Besides, he’s my go to with my really dumb questions.
hahaha, I know I thought of Jeff when I was thinking of shoehorning the front end of an F unit onto a Dash 8 the loco would’ve been nicknamed well I’ll save that for another time.
Almost like Caboose Day in the Diner. Seems Jerry is having a slight issue with his though.[(-D]
***Gary, interesting load that train was carrying. The dog sure was into it.
My brother speaks German, but his writing skills are probably rusty since he lived there for a year.
What was the minimum radius for larger (HO) locos like the T-1 and Mallets? And what about Kato #6 switches, are they OK for those sized locos? I think someone here said they would work fine!?!
Long day, much accomplished, all tuckered out now.
Had a good Easter. Went bowlling after Church. Then drove around Spooner Yard taking pictures of all the RR equipment that’s stored there for the Wisconsin Great Northern RR. That’s a tourist RR based here. Lots of extra sidings, too. Google map Spooner, Wis. We should come here!! The roundhouse is ( mostly )still here as is the turntable and sanding tower. The station is the museum. Very cool!!
MOH is trying to upload pics now, so I’ll post when I can!!
no work on the MR today. My left shoulder is really bugging me. Yesterday when wrestling a friend, my left arm arm/shoulder got rolled fowards and up a ittle. I can barely move it with out hurting like mad… Needless to say, work today was a bear…
Ken, Didn’t Ulrich say he moved recently?
Gary, I looked up that loco. It’s an ex-CN GP9u
Dennis, LOL. There was one pic I saw where he looks like he’s on a tablet or something… I think the guy’s a nut like his father, but he’s probably scared now that there are B2s and F22s in SK.
Ray, I think a 6 would work okay with those locos. Mallets are articulated, so they aren’t as bad as some others. The #6 would probably be an issue with, say a Union Pacific type (4-12-2) or an AA20-1 (4-14-4)
Guess I’ll make some crackers for a snack. Anyone tried ritz crackers with pepperjack cheese and pepperoni? It’s awesome
Front of an F unit, back of a U boat, rewired to be compatible with Dash 2 units??
The name of it is on my webpage [:-,]
Well gang, I’m stiff and sore but the master suite has been repainted. Flat white ceiling, Antique white walls, doors doorframes, crown moldings and window frames high gloss bright white. SWMBO is happy, so thats all that matters.[:D] I just sleep in there. Tomorrow I’ll put the furniture back after cleaning the hardwood floors , but in the meantime I’m enjoying sleeping in the other bedroom.[:D] The mattress is better than ours. plus the bed itself is higher so I think we’ll do a switcheroo tomorrow!
Other than that, no train stuff today[:(], maybe tomorrow?
***Karl, I think that looks pretty cool.[tup] I will add, that is an awesome layout you have!
Enjoying all the various pics being posted guys!
Well, took advantage of the BUNNY sale and am now officially committed to Kato Unitrack for the (HO) expansion. Sure hope it won’t be too much trouble to join up a couple Kato tracks to the Bachmann EZ track. Will just have to “make that part work”. Only a logging and small passenger train will ever have reason to hit the old layout which has tighter curves. All the larger locos pulling trains will remain on the new expansion. Guess I’ll find out soon enough if a T-1 will play nice going through a Unitrack #6 switch. It better!
