Elliots Trackside Diner IV, Under New Management!

Good morning all,

New place eh?

Well at least my old chair survived yet again. Unfortunately at this rate the old thing won’t survive too many more moves[:(] I just wish for once… that Bergie would give us a “heads up” before shutting the place down so we could have a real honest to goodness all outright

FOOD FIGHT!!!

Imagine what all that Mexican fair would look like?

Phil: Our thoughts and prayers are with you and yours.

[:D][swg] [:D][swg] [:D][swg] You got that right!!!

Anyway I have a full desk of paperworrk to do today so Have a Cuppa on me and sit back and enjoy the day!

Fergie

Man, What happened to the old diner.

Oh Well. I’ll have the usual.

here’s a photo of my old layout:

enjoy!

Morning all!

Rainy and cold, but who cares? My son is in an oxygen tent and doing well. He even called and asked that I grab a couple of DVD’s for him to watch today. Thats a good sign! And you guys are right, it does take a while to get all of that out of the system.

Oh well, gotta run! Gotta head back to the hospital.

Good to see you back in here Bob K.!

Later!

PC hate to say it but We Told ya [:D]. Were so happy for you and your family. your son is going to be alright and were all going to be able to say we know of one child that MD came thru with a cure and a great doctor that helpped it happen. This is so gret PC We all are pulling for your son and hes doing great and making all of us proud no matter what he’s number 1 right now.

Wow, 3 pages overnight?!?[(-D]

PHILLIP: Congrats on the surgery! That is truly wonderful news. The CFO asks every morning if there’s any news from " Your train geek friend’s son".I shoot back with something about her old biddy quilting hens’forum.

TOM: It’s brats with a cold Lienenkugle’s honey weiss, thank you.Brewed in Chippewa Falls, 1 hour south of me.When a tourist asks the wife for an import beer, that’s what they get. Most actually think it’s an import! 'Course, she also asks that if it’s tourist season why can’t we shoot’m?

JEFF: Whatever decoder comes with the “on board” locos is what I’ve got.Progammed on the main as I don’t have a dedicated program track yet.Did not change any cvs, don’t know how.[:D](except for the engine #) I’ll try to reset to factory default and see if that does anything.Had a problem with another loco taking off on its own when I replaced it on the track after cleaning a while back, turned out the throttle setting was set to max. I’m hoping this is as easy a fix. Be Back Later,

Terry

Hey RT, you’re right on the money about the MDA and Jerry’s Kids! My son has been one of Jerry’s poster kids now for a few years. They do wonderful work, and they are making progress!

Support Jerry’s Kids, please, everyone!

OK, I’m outta here…really!

Good Morning All,

Just a regular to go please Zoe. Running in circles today waiting for our new trailer to show up and catching up on our shop backlog. We can’t have the B&O, but we have a surplus Maine Central steel caboose in our yard we’re gutting (it was set on fire and burned out most of the interior). It might look odd hooked to a diner and lounge car but would help with all this moving we need to do here at Elliots.

PC - we’re so glad your sons operation was a success. Our continued prayers for his speedy recovery. You’ll know hee’s nearly ready to go home when he starts getting grouchy.[:)]

Gotta run, C.U.L., J.R.

Der, no offence taken! Just had to get that off my chest, been holding it in for 2+ years. And thanks for the reply!

I do believe that what you have is a burned out decoder. If so, a reset isn’t going to accoplish anything except to confirm that. Start making plans to wire in a new decoder. Two suppliers I highly recommend are Digitrax and NCE. NCE makes a drop-in replacement for the cheap Bachmann decoder.

How’s this for a close call? A man and a young woman narrowly escaped being flattened when two boxcars derailed due to a faulty wheel. An inquiry will be held to determine what they were doing on RR property in the first place and if they had anything to do with the derailment.

I thought that I would slide in here and have a quick coffee. Maybe later I will take a chance on something on Ryan’s menu.

Philip, Glad to hear that your son is doing better. Hope the nasty anesthetic is gone soon.

Well, I should go start a fire in the fireplace.

Sue

Good morning diners:

I’ll have oatmeal and oj, please…

Bobk … yes, I definately recall reading of your tragic loss last year. It’s heartening to hear from you that model railroaders have provided some comfort. I certainly believe that April is in a better place now. I’ll be praying for you and your kids especially on March 29th.

PC … it’s good to know your son’s surgery went fine. That was quite a long procedure from what you said. Thanks for taking time to keep us posted.

Best wishes to everbody…

in a SOUTHERN mug, please & thank you! I’ll also have the SEAFOOD BUFFET ~ [C):-)]

***Tracklayer, was it a Tarantula Hawk that stung you?

***BobK, good to know you are doing better these days. It has been such a challenging time for you.

***Jeffrey, let us know the outcome of the inquiry. I suspect they are inocent…at least of the derailment.[;)]

Have a great day all. [C):-)] Rob

Ooooooo, Filet Mignon,I’ll have that![dinner] With garlic mashed taters, if you have them.

Jeff: Thanks, I guess.[sigh]It ran a total 30 minutes, if that.

Terry

Terry: The cheap Bachmann decoders are like cheap cars. Most run for only so long but some keep going and going. They aren’t difficult to replace.

Philip.

Sorry, but I do not recall hearing anything about your son’s health problems earlier but I am a home cooking man myself and don’t drop in much at the Diner. I am glad to hear that the surgery was an apparent success and the prognosis looks good. Please accept my prayers and best wishes for a full and speedy recovery for your son. May you both be taking long walks together in the very near future.

Again, best wishes to you and yours.

Blue Flamer.

Morning all. Just coffee for me, Zoe–got to get ready and play Good Friday services today.

Philip–Your son is asking for DVD’s? Wow, is THAT a good sign or what? Cheers and prayers for a VERY speedy recovery for him.

Terry–Oboy do brats and honeyweiss sound good–but tell you wife PLEASE not to shoot me if I come up there and do the tourist bit, okay? I’ll even give her my recipe for Christmas Stollen, LOL!

Jeff–is that young lady waving a SPIKE in her hand? Hmm, might explain a lot, there.

Well, after giving Zoe my recipe for Sauerbraten mit Kartofel und Rotekraut, I read in our local newspaper that my Sacramento area is suddenly more prone to eating anything with Chilies and Sushi. God, I hope not TOGETHER! They’re bad ENOUGH separately! I mean, if I wanted raw fish and seaweed, I’d have been born a jellyfish. Yuk!

Well, got to get ready for Good Friday. And after that, a four-hour rehearsal for Saturday Vigil–we’ve got 16 people being confirmed tomorrow night, so it’s gonna be a LONG Vigil. However, at the stroke of midnight, I am going to eat an entire chocolate Easter Bunny all by myself. Gave up chocolate for Lent and OBOY, has it been a long 40 days. Good news, though–Lent doesn’t happen this early for another 82 years or so. I mean, I’m still packing my CHRISTMAS decorations up!

Best to all,

Tom [:P]

This is great news! I’m so happy, I’ll buy you & your son lunch, Diner & Dessert until your son is out of the cast! I’m soooooo excited. Best wishes!
