Good Morning All…Its sunny and cool here this morning…I’ll have the Biscuits and gravey too and coffee please…Thank You…and put that on Ken’s tab…Not much going on here I got the Uboat out yesterday I thought it was an old Atlas unit but it was Bachman and after putting it on the track I remebered why I put it away! I messed with for awhile and put it back up…Some of the old Bman and Model Power units are pretty hard to get to run right…Casey football team won again last nite 7-0 now and ranked # 1 in the State 2-a…You all have a great one…Jerry

They ended during the game. My muscles still hurt from it because they were so severe. Of course, i’m feeling much better. Thank you for the kind words though.

B…U…M…P !..Jerry

Ahh, lunchtime! I’ll have the Dagwood special.

Howdy all!

Hey Zoe, is the wheelbarrow still out back? I think we’re going to need it to get Jeff outta here!

Afternoon all!

I think a meatball sub sounds good.

Fergie: Oh that’s easy. Pick the Cowboys, Giants, or Redskins every week… Unless you have to pick differently each time…

Inch: That is very cool. I’d love to see him play in person sometime.

GO COWBOYS!

Mark

Doing some more work on my coaling station today. I made these embossed imprints of the roof panels in aluminum foil. They’ve been painted on both sides with rusty metal primer and will be cut up and glued into position on rotted looking rafters so it looks like a wind-torn rusted steel roof.

Um… I will start with a salad, and bring on the STEAKS!!!

Heres what I’ve been doing today with the help of the wife. I was doing trees, while she was doing the chain-link fence. I have NEVER done trees in my life, but I am very happy with them. She did real good to on the fence. She had to do it a couple of times but it looks good. You should haave seen her boss’s face when we went to get them vail. My wife said, “its for a chan-link fence.” Boy, was she lost.

Well my salad is here, gotta eat!!

Robby Nice modeling…Trees look great and Your Wife’s fence is right on too!!..I like the Gon on the siding tell us how you beat it up?..Look forward to seeing more of your work…Jerry

Thanks Jerry. The gon was done with our old friend “the soldering iron.” I use it to dent up the top, and go behind that with some sand papar. Kinda to smooth it out. I took the iron next and dented up the sides as well. Its not my best work, but it serves a purpose I guess.

That sounds AWESOME!

I think I’m in love.

It;s a Marklin Steamer of the DB Class 52 with a Condenser Tender. SP has the Kraus Maffei, I want THAT, Guy had it at a HO Euro club today. I’ll get pictures up, I promise. I drolled on their layout at it for a while. There was also a cute as a buton little early era steamer, she was pulling a worktrain. I can’t find the pictutes of her though

Picked up an AMtrak Amfleet Cab Car dummy, it;s missing the pantograph. That can be fixed. Also got a set of the Athearn BN Exec Fs for 40, 2, soon to be 5 coaches for the ITM train, an older coach in thje George Washington, an Athearn 25th caboose, and an IHC Woodside Lumber Co caboose. Debated one of the Walthers Hiawatha Skytop, but I have an undec on order. We may be getting the painted one though also for Private Varnish. Will pick up tomorrow a Faller Interior kit for a switch tower.

Evening folks, just my usual java for me.

Well, it’s the weekend, & like I said, I’d try to make it in here on them.

Been a chilly day here in Ohio-freeze warnings are out for tonight. Didn’t really get any trainwork done today, as I worked this morning (& tomorrow morning) & this afternoon I got pictures of my old Dodge in preparation for it’s Ebay ad, & then came home & typed up the ad. (that’s all I’ll say about it as I don’t want to violate forum policy on advertising) but I don’t suppose it’ll hurt to show a current pic of the old girl taken today at my Mom & Dad’s.

Mom’s still doing ok-haven’t heard when she’ll be able to come home yet. Cape Jim, was it you who asked last weekend how my Dad was holding up? Well, ok-on the positive side he likes the peace & quiet of the “bachelor life” at home, & does for my Mom what & when he can, but on the down side, she has her difficult & irrational moments. That’s hard to deal with, & I deal with it too as I’ve been making out her checks to pay bills, etc. & she can be very difficult with me when I can’t find a bill she wants to pay, etc. I know she’s frustrated that she can’t do it herself, & understand. But she takes out her frustration on us, & it makes us feel bad. I’ve talked to several of my co-workers that have dealt with elderly parents in similar situations, & they’ve told me that it’s quite common. I’ve tried to make her understand that we’re doing for her the best way we know how, & hopefully she’ll eventually understand. Sometimes I leave the hospital feeling angry, & feel like a complete you-know-what for feeling that way. I try to understand & be patient, but it gets difficult sometimes.

Well, on the lighter side, I posted this pic on Weekend Photo Fun, & will add it here for those who may miss it. Dawn & I

Hey sorry I’m so late, ummmm, is there still some busciuts and gravey left??? I know it’s late night, but WHAAAA I’m hungry?! How’s the weekend for y’all, Well I guess it’s safe to say I didn’t win the remodel your garage contest[sigh] But thta’s the way it goes. I think by doing it with the help of friends and family, the finshed project would be more appreacted, So that’s the way I’m lookin’ at it. It’s really late and I’m kinda draggin’ so I will talk to you guys and gals tomorrow, I belive Sunday is two for one day!!! Is that true Zoe??

Take Care

Good Morning from Tipton IN ! Big Smile

[wow]

Good morning.

It’s 55 and clear. A little on the nippy side for Louisiana. The high today will be in the mid 70’s with abundant sunshine.

I started in on more work on my coaling station yesterday. I’ve added some of the beams in the roof and started on cutting out the individual rusted metal sheets for the roof. If I have time today I’ll get started on the rafters. What’s going to be tricky is getting the right amount of sag in the rafters. Did I mention that this roof is a scratchbuilding project?

Good morning all,

Killing frost warning this morning. (I walked right up to the frost this morning and I’m still here).

Today: Sunny, with a high near 58. Southeast wind around 6 mph becoming calm.

Tonight: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 42. South wind between 5 and 11 mph.

Well I worked all day yesterday on the pending projects table here in my computer room. I converted couplers on 14 cars, decaled and weathered 5 MoW units, built 2 Athearn Auto carrier end loading box cars, 2 Bowser 70 ton 2 bay covered hoppers, painted 1 coat on 8 wood side reefers I’m customizing, painted the windows for the lumberyard, and started building a Branchline P&LE 40’ box car kit.

When I started my coupler swap project I dropped the old horn style couplers I removed from the cars into a 7 oz olive jar, well the jar is close to ¾ full now.

This week I plan on doing some bay sales, wish me luck.

Good morning guys, and gals.

I too woke up to some frost. Time to get the de-icer all together. Its also my last day, before I start my new job in the morning. Its a tire plant that works for Michelin retreading truck/car tires. Now I can finally get some money coming into the house. Maybe now I can start doing more with the layout.

Now later to day, I can watch the STEELERS smack around the Bengals!!!

More like slap them around.

Good Morning…Its sunny and 44 here this morning…I’ll have Biscuits and Gravey and just set the coffee pot down! please…Thank You…Jerry
