Hi i just joined this forum.
A BIG HELP>>>>>>
I am based in the UK as a freight train driver (Loco Engineer)for a company called Freightliner.
I drive the class 66 locomotives (jt42cwr) 12n-710g3b-ec.
I have recently had a course on them and the problem being is we were never given any driver/ workshop manuals.
The locos when new all had them fitted but being the uk they have all gone missing(Stolen).
Dose anyone out there know where i can get manuals on these locos,i have tried GM direct but they were a compleate wast of time.
Many thanks

Try good old Google. Seems like I found some old GP manuals once.
These manuals might be pretty hard to find in the railfan community. You could try EMD directly and see what they might offer. Expect to pay a pretty penny.
Here is a link to some operators’ manuals online.

If I remember correctly your locomotives are similar to an SD 70 M . The SD-70 stuff is a little easier to find and should make your search quicker. Try EMD for a part number for an SD 70 M .

A couple other ideas, try Simmons Boardman Publishing company, they sell locomotive manuals and training material (I think its www.transalert.com).
If that doesn’t work contact one of the big US railroads that has SD70’s and see if they will sell you one of their manuals.

I have some EMD / GM older perating manuals for sale.
