what does UP use for a EOT and who sells EOT’s for Ho.
I have several from Ring Engineering and I think they look great and are easy to install.

As for the question of the UP style I’ll defer that to others in the know. I use mine on Amtrak MHCs and RoadRailers.

And you can buy Ring Engineering EOT’S in yellow, red and gray, and 33" and 36" wheels. I have one so far, but will buy 3 more, one for intermodel and stack trains, one for tankers, and one for hoppers. The one I have is on a box car.
Some of the newest ones are thinner than those in the pictures. Easier (lighter) to carry for the crews/car men.
EOTs also can “run through” between railroads. I often see EOTs from other railroads on UP trains. Sometimes there not on actual “run through” trains, either.

I once saw a couple of EOTDs sitting outside of a UP Mechanical Department office with UPS shipping labels on them.
Thanks guys.
The UP, as well as most class 1 railroads, use several types of EOTs and the types vary by era. The most modern are air turbine powered so dead batteries are not an issue.
Ya I saw those EOTs from ring engineering on ebay. Need to get a few of them for my Intemodel and unit trains.
