Anyone use their track so much that they wore it out?

I have not personally wore out my track, but I have seen it done.
Years ago there used to be a public layout in Marrietta, Ohio. It was big and impresive. The track was tubular style. I stopped in to see the layout and needless to say in the middle of February, I was the only one there. The owner/operator showed me a couple places on the layout where the tubular track had holes in the metal from wheel wear.
I would not have believed it unless I had seen it.

I am very disappointed you were at a public layout in February, you should have been outside enjoying either ice fishing or snow mobiling [8D] I hope that doesn’t happen again [}:)]

Believe it or not I used to like going out during a snowstorm and shoveling snow … when I was younger … [:o)] Those days are long gone now though . I just walk out and watch it come down now … it is peaceful and serene .
