Ex. NFL player chooses trains rather than NFL.

Its a touching story.

He was called by the NY Jets to play and has a chance to play in the super bowl, but rather keep a full-time job with Norfolk Southern.

I found the story on EXPN, but here it is in the local paper.

What an impressive story. Seems rare to see that type of character in a pro athlete with potential. He truly exhibits solid values, a clear head and a deep love for his family. These are the types of stories that should be broadcasted on all of the network news shows, but of course it’s the “bad boys” stories that garner most of the attention.

Thanks for posting this. Definetly worth sharing with young people and school system personnel…especially coaches and athletes. [Y][8D]

A chance to play in the Super Bowl? With the Jets? I think not.

PS: I’m a Patriots fan. [:-^]

Good story though. He seems to have his priorities in check.

I’m in the same boat with you, but Steelers fan here !!
