I recently acquired one of these cars. I prefer the doors to remain closed, so not being able to open them is no loss. Yes, the trucks can’t be tightened to the degree they bind, but they are tight enough. My couplers didn’t bind, but there are screws so you can adjust the tightness or gain access. It’s a nice car.
Do a Google search for exactrail boxcars and look. I did that. I do not want to be advertising the company here. Very easy to do. Does not require hand holding.
That’s right, because you know what? This is called a MESSAGE BOARD. Sometimes also referred to as an ONLINE COMMUNITY. People come here to INTERACT with follow hobbyists, because you can often get far more feedback from 10 replies here than you can from a Google search - and again, the whole purpose is to INTERACT. We know your dubious people skills don’t mesh with this concept, and that you’re much more comfortable typing queries into your search engine than you are exchanging in a friendly give-and-take of information with a real PERSON … so why not just leave these boards to folks who enjoy talking to other folks and you can Google to your hearts content elsewhere? I mean, if it’s just so exasperating for you to have to deal with all these entry-level questions that shouldn’t really “need” to be asked, you can always go somewhere else, right?
Message board? I belive its called a FORUM. Look up (post the question) the definition of a forum.
Dubious people skills??? You have no idea what you’re talking about. You sure that wire wasn’t plugged into the wall when you bit it??
The previous post had to do with if the ExactRail cars were RTR or kits. The reply to that post recommended looking up their website, checking it out and answering his own question. An proper suggestion so the poster could see the cars offered, the roadnames and the detail on the cars. They must also learn how to find information on their own and therefore be able to answer future questions on their own.
I’ll disagree with you on this point and refer you to any number of your own posts in which the respondants have posted links to various websites that provided the information you were inquiring about. Websites that would have been found with a google search.
Wrong again! - It is much easierr to convey the information in a give and take, face-to-face with a real person that it is trying to type a response and explain something, like why a locomotive is always derailing, or how to specifically wire some part of a layout.

Whoa everyone! When I posted my thoughts on my new boxcars, I did NOT want to start a war. I bought them sight unseen and I thought others may not have seen them as well. Also, I believe the opinions of good people here above the advertising executives that only tell the good parts.
Thanks, that quote above was a real “laugh out loud” moment. I started going through your post point by point, again, but in the end, what’s the point? The flood of PMs I have sitting in my InBox saying “don’t let that Silver Pilot get to you - he’s an ass to everyone, not just you” tell the story just fine. what this board needs is a “jerk” setting that so many other boards have - you press a button on someone’s avatar, and their posts never show up in the your threads …it’s like they don’t even exist.
Well based on the photos, ads and write-ups they seem very nice. But the rib side Milwaukee cars are the ONLY product they have so far that’s in my era. And I already have a number of those from Rib Side Cars, www.ribsidecars.com
