Fron time to time on Ebay, I see trees, people, cars, etc that “have” to be coming from somewhere on the Asian Rim. They are priced very inexpensively.
Have any of you tried any of them? If so, what is your opinion?
Thanks.

Do you have an example or link?

I have some of the fall looking ones. They are fairly good quality, made of twisted wire but they are on the short side so they would be good for background trees and not foreground trees. Make sure to get the tallest ones they offer or they will be really short. They are probably really good for z scale and n scale.\

I believe just about all inexpensive mrr stuff is made in China. But again. what are some examples? A lot of “inexpensive” stuff is jonque or “toy” quality.

I’ve noticed that too. That’s how I got my LEDs. Paid 25 bucks for 100 of them, with resistors.
I have purchased several sets of lamps and have had no problems with the items.
Do you mean places like this?

I know someone that’s bought from them. They were happy with the quality and shipping time. They said the stuff isn’t exactly to scale, but what does that matter with trees and street lights? He gives sizes in mm so you can figure if it’s going to work or not. I believe it’s meant for architectural modeling. GREAT prices.
Watch buying Chinese LEDs. Some of the white ones look REAL blue.
Mine are supposed to be warm white, but most have ended up being white. Luckily I have some transparent amber paint for those ones.
I thought you were refering to some locos from china. I saw a 4-8-8-4 that was going for $70, NIB, till I read the shipping charges of $500. I passed.
Some of you have asked about examples. Here are some people & trees; I don’t see any of the cars right now but they also show up from time to time in lots of about 40-50, give or take…

The description for the trees says that they are just over 4.5" tall. That would make a decent sized HO scale tree… about 32’ - 33’ feet tall. I think that would be about right for a lot of “city trees.” And, if you were foresting an entire hillside, the tree height wouldn’t be that important. They would be taller than a lot of trees I’ve seen done on toothpicks or similar sticks.

**danmerkel-**Yeah, you can get ten street lights for less than Walthers wants for one. Wouldn’t surprise me if they were made in the same Chinese factory.
I hope they jump to decoders some day.
