This building stood until the early 1980s. I remember it burning down. I was in elementary school at the time, and we could see the flames from the playground. It lasted longer than the tracks that went by it.
Yes! Thanks for going back and republishing an actual “modelling from scratch” article. Construction plans like this don’t seem to show up in the normal magazine content much anymore and, as a long time reader, I miss them. Having the .pdf is much better than digging through my 30 years of past issues.
