So, what happens to our dollars if we make a contribution but they do not reach the $350K goal? Do our dollars go over the top like so many lemmings?
What are you trying to convey with your comment, Mr. Bates?
What is/was the other railroad it connected to in New Freedom. Evidently it is already abandoned or soon to be? To the north the first town this other RR runs through is - “Railroad, PA”.
Other historical things of much less significance are being saved left and right. The countryside it runs through makes this quaint little railroad one to be saved.
The railroad that would give this line a connection to the North to York PA is a last remaining section of the Pennsy line that once connected Baltimore and York. Itself needs to b saved as the rail line that got Lincoln into Washington just before the beginning of the Civil War and was also part of the line that took him to Gettysburg for the dedication that was the Gettysburg Address. It seems more that just a bit important in preserving our history.
